RPM retrieval type?
Hi APT,
Has anyone thought of an "rpm" type? It would act like the "deb" type
except: it might know something about RPM archive conventions and how
to find a package; then it would download the .rpm, use alien on it,
and then use the .deb as normal if successful.
This would be useful (ie convenient, but isn't that what APT is
about?) for getting packages in which the deb pkg maintainers might be
lagging their RH counterparts.
