This is getting scary. I could have sworn it worked, but I cleaned up
everything, and run the script to rebuild the files and dirs. Now it
is the same thing for i386 as with alpha (at least it is consistant).

$ apt-get -f -s -d -c apt.conf.i386 install

the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.

Aargh, why doesn't apt-get work the same way in the simulated
environment as in the real setup :-(

Get http://www.debian.org/~martinb/taskcheck.tar.gz if you want to
study this on the living thing.
