But I don't want those pacakges removed :-(

output of "dpkg -l" attached. Incidentally, when I tried apt-get -f install
<list of packages> then it still complained:

~$ sudo apt-get -f install limo ncdt libcdparanoia cdlabelgen
clanlib0-display-mesa xrootconsole cdparanoia-bin pingus libnet-telnet-perl
clanlib0-display-x11 libmikmod1   xanim-modules xaw-wrappers hermes1

You might want to run apt-get -f install' to correct these:
Sorry, but the following packages have unmet dependencies:
  liburi-perl: Depends: perl (>= 5.004) but it is not installed
  ssh-socks: Depends: gmp2 (>= 2.0.2)
  libnet-perl: Depends: perl (>= 5.004-0) but it is not installed
  libmime-base64-perl: Depends: perl (>= 5.004.02-2) but it is not installed
  wu-ftpd-academ: Depends: perl but it is not installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify
a solution).
