Subject: apt: wishlist: do not return to main menu without prompting for return
To: submit@bugs.debian.org
X-Mailer: bug 3.1.7

Package: apt
Version: 0.1.9

When doing an (U)pdate in dselect (using the apt methods), or sometimes
when attempting to do an (I)nstall, apt returns control to the dselect
main menu without pausing. This clears the screen, and I am unable to
tell whether the operation was successful. (With my Internet connection,
the odds are quite good that it was not successful, since the timeout
values are so low. And since I typically run these operations on a
tty that isn't displayed at all times, I don't know what happened --
I check on it and only see the menu.)

Please ensure that the user always gets to read the output before allowing
the screen to be cleared.
