Bug#32584: apt: ftp1.us.debian.org_debian_dists_slink_main_binary-i386_Packages takes all CPU

Package: apt
Version: 0.1.10

Running apt-get update a few minutes ago with this file caused a "http" process
to take 100% CPU time. It took 100% CPU for a couple of minutes on my Pentium
233 which indicates to me that it was never going to complete whatever it was
trying to do. gzip decompressing the file in /var/state/apt/lists/partial
took only a few seconds so that wasn't the problem. Once I manually
decompressed the file and put it in the /var/state/apt/lists directory and
used "touch -r" to give it the right time stamp everything was fine and apt
operations now proceed as normal.
