Bug#32395: apt: apt could be smarter when it comes to fixing dependancies
Package: apt
Version: 0.1.9
# apt-get install dpkg-perl
Updating package status cache...done
Checking system integrity...dependency error
You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these.
Sorry, but the following packages are broken - this means they have unmet
dependencies:
tetex-base: Depends:dpkg-perl
vrms: Depends:dpkg-perl
tetex-extra: Depends:dpkg-perl
tetex-bin: Depends:dpkg-perl
#
I'd expect apt not to require the '-f' flag when the package I want to install
is precisely the one that cause the dependancy problem...
