Subject: apt: libc6 version number problem
To: submit@bugs.debian.org
X-Mailer: bug 3.1.7

Package: apt
Version: 0.1.9
Severity: important

The new libc6 has a lower version number than the 2.0.7v-1 release, at least
according to apt (dpkg claims it has a higher version number, however, using
dpkg --compare-versions).

Symptoms include: apt gets really confused by packages expecting a 2.0.7u/v
libc6; apt can't upgrade to the new libc6 (since it thinks this is an older
version).
