Bug#28404: Latest apt won't work with hamm.

Package: apt
Version: 0.1.7

The latest version of apt, 0.1.7 has some dependencies which are not
satisfied by programs contained in hamm:

dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of apt:
 apt depends on libc6 (>= 2.0.7u); however:
  Version of libc6 on system is 2.0.7t-1.
 apt depends on libstdc++2.9; however:
  Package libstdc++2.9 is not installed.

hamm has libstdc++2.8, but not 2.9.

Apt will install, but cannot be configured, leaving the user in some
distress. This needs to be fixed if apt is to be used for upgrading to
slink (or apt <=0.1.6 needs to be made available).
