I'm just going to assume this was discussed on policy before mass bug
filings were done. libstdc++2.8 -MUST- be in slink, we can't release
without it as too many 3rd party things need it. Yes apt in slink should
use 2.9 but it was not a release goal to migrate libstdc++ in slink..
Incidently I make no promises about APT working with the new g++ and
libstdc++2.9, for all I know it doesn't as I've never tried it.
