Yeah, that would probably be the most help...

Since this appears to be caused by a Real Live DPKG Bug, I would
agree; it would be nice to have the above clarification, but since I
managed to work around it and would not have seen the problem
otherwise, go ahead.

ps. apt-get is so cool :-) it looks like I'll switch from dftp here at
work, and I might even switch from my home-grown scripts at home...
