Re: circular dependencies not resolved

I tried to upgrade with apt-get upgrade

I had kbd and sysvinit installed and the new version of kbd conflicted
with the existing version of sysvinit, it did not conflict with the to be
installed sysvinit in the same upgrade set. dpkg was able to upgrade both
using

------

First off, what exactly happened? Did you run apt-get upgrade and have it
say that kbd and sysvinit were to be held back?

Secondly, `apt-get install kbd sysvinit' should have worked just fine, did
you try that?

Thanks,
Jason
