Package: xterm
Version: 297-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

left alt key doesn't do commands instead it prints characters

example
in nano editor left alt-w is supposed to search next one but instead prints character "÷" from unknown "layout".

expecting command functions which depends on a program used.
