I've installed 2.6.32-24 but the problem still exists, along with a new
problem: no direct rendering any more
(II) intel(0): Set up overlay video
 (II) intel(0): direct rendering: Disabled
 (--) RandR disabled

Running google earth works now, probably because of the missing direct
rendering, but running opera lead to:
Xorg.0.log:
(EE) intel(0): Detected a hung GPU, disabling acceleration.
syslog:

But now, the screen does not go blank, it just seems to hang. Keyboard/mice
input isn't recognized any more, switching to a virtual console and back
leads to a black screen. However, KMS seems to work now, as virtual consoles
are still accessible. Xorg and syslog are attached.

At the moment, I just upgraded the above mentioned packages, that is:
xserver-xorg-video-intel, libdrm-intel1 and linux-image-2.6.32-5-686. Should
I try upgrading a few more packages, for example the drm related ones? I
just don't want to mix testing and unstable too much.

Regards,
Alex
