If it helps people who mix packages (bear in mind that people will
certainly have taken Ubuntu packages to run on Debian, as they have been
doing since the 6.8.x days; as Knoppix and basically everyone else did
with 4.3.0-0ds*), then I don't see why not.

It's not optimal, but if 0ubuntu3 rather than 1 helps a few people, then
I don't see the harm.
