The libxft2 problem has already been addressed by pushing the new
libfreetype6 into testing.  Since this is not a bug at all in hplip, I'm
reassigning this bug and merging, as you're not actually likely to get more
duplicate bug reports about it now that upgrades in testing are un-broken.

The root bug is not yet resolved; libfreetype6 needs to have shlibs bumped
and libxft2 needs to be rebuilt, and the ABI breakage of gnustep will still
need to be addressed.
