xserver-xorg & mga driver
I recently upgraqded to 6.9.0.dfsg.1-4, then suddenly X refused to
start, by looking in this archive, I purged the vendor mga_drv and
mga_hal_drv (cars id a G550 AGP, Screen is an old SGI Multilink
1600x1024).
Fine, it restarts, but the panel refuse to sync "out of range". Trying
to force the frequencies in the xorg.conf file didn't work either.
Switching to vga input instead of DVI, I have approx 66% of the screen
(the left and right edges are missing).
Matrox's driver had a DigitalScreen option that is not supported in
the xorg driver, maybe linked to the issue?
Here are the settings defined by the screen
