Comments/Problems:

hi, my problem is the keyboard. it is the first time i have this error, it seems that the "maj" keys don't work. the keys ctrl + alt + f1, f2 ... etc doesn(t work either.

when i launch gnome i have this error :

Error activating XKB configuration.
It can happen under various circumstances:
- a bug in libxklavier library
- a bug in X server (xkbcomp, xmodmap utilities)

- X server with incompatible libxkbfile implementation

X server version data:
The X.Org Foundation
60900000

If you report this situation as a bug, please include:
- The result of xprop -root | grep XKB

- The result of gconftool-2 -R /desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/kbd

so the result of xprop -root | grep XKB :

_XKB_RULES_NAMES_BACKUP(STRING) = "xorg", "pc105", "fr-latin9", "", ""

_XKB_RULES_NAMES(STRING) = "xorg", "pc105", "fr-latin9", "", ""

and the result of gconftool-2 -R /desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/kbd

layouts = []

model =
overrideSettings = true
options = []

if i try to change de default layout, i have the same error. i know this is probably a bug of gnome.

everything else seems to be okay.

Agreed, closing it now.

Yes, this is another example why XKB files should not be under /etc.
I hope that I will find time soon to move them back into /usr.
When upgrading xlibs, /etc/X11/xkb/symbols/pc/fr-latin9 was a conffile
and has not been removed from your disk even if it has been removed from
this package.
