I do not know why is this not working, but I have the preliminar X.org Debian packages and I have the same behaviour: ender@polgara:~$ xrandr -o left X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes) Major opcode of failed request: 156 (RANDR) Minor opcode of failed request: 2 (RRSetScreenConfig) Serial number of failed request: 12 Current serial number in output stream: 12 This is almost equal to my result with XF86 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14, except in the Major opcode, that in X.org is 156 and back in 4.3.0 was 155.
