Bug#252068: us_intl now broken ?

Hi, i think my problem is related to this one,

since xlibs 4.3.0.dfsg.1-8 us_intl no longer work (on 3 different
computers).

I'm using:

Section "InputDevice"
        Identifier "Generic Keyboard"
        Driver "keyboard"
        Option "CoreKeyboard"
        Option "XkbRules" "xfree86"
        Option "XkbModel" "pc104"
        Option "XkbLayout" "us_intl"
EndSection

i also get:

$ setxkbmap -layout "us_intl"
Error loading new keyboard description

but i found a workaround...:
the gnome-applets package contains the file "/usr/share/xmodmap/xmodmap.us_intl".
so i install it and then use xmodmap: `xmodmap /usr/share/xmodmap/xmodmap.us_intl`.

i don't understand how come /usr/share/xmodmap/xmodmap.us_intl is in gnome-applets,
but oh well ... now us_intl works again... (i've my accents back èàìíçïñ, etc.)

hope this helps!

-Pascal
