Package: www.debian.org
Version: unavailable; reported 2003-08-26
Severity: wishlist

it would be great to have an option on the package search page for
output of xml. i use a homegrown perlscript to query the searchpage.
xml output would be very nice to parse. e.g.:

<xml version="1.0">
<search keywords="base" responses="3">
<package name="base-config" release="stable" version="1.33.18" size="125.8k" descr="Debian base configuration package"/>
<package name"...."/>
<package name"...."/>
</search>

thanks for consideration
