Re: install party in paris

penny~

i'd say first of all make your invite less "techie threatening" than mine. apparently i scared a bunch of people off when i warned that one should back up all material prior to the install party. secondly have lots of blank cds on hand (to make said backups and to burn install disks), ethernet cables, and power strips (i had all of these items, but they are useful). oh and an a hub and some sort of high speed internet...

Hi Fabienne,

I'm helping organise a (women) install-fest in Wellington, NZ next
weekend, and I was wondering how yours went & if you have any helpful
hints to share.. any mistakes to avoid, things you didn't think of and
realised at the time would have been useful?

I haven't even *been* to an install-fest before and now I seem to be
responsible for one, so any advice is probably useful!

Cheers!
Penny
