netcdf-fortran is RC-buggy. None of its Uploaders are still active in its
maintenance. Unmaintained packages should be removed from the archive, but
it has several reverse dependencies which block its removal. The package
needs someone who knows Fortran and/or cares enough about the package to
spend time on issues affecting the package.

The package description is:
 NetCDF (network Common Data Form) is a set of interfaces for array-oriented
 data access and a freely distributed collection of data access libraries for
 C, Fortran, C++, Java, and other languages. The netCDF libraries support a
 machine-independent format for representing scientific data. Together, the
 interfaces, libraries, and format support the creation, access, and sharing of
 scientific data.
