  This library provides interfaces for communicating with the Steam web API,
  enabling retrieval of information about public Steam accounts as well as
  access to a range of Steam community features. Capabilities include managing
  and fetching user inventories, interpreting Valve Data Format (VDF) files, and
  extracting data related to games, items, and user activity directly from
  Steam.

  In addition to API wrappers, the library offers utilities for serializing and
  deserializing VDF files commonly used in Steam's infrastructure. It supports
  structured access to user profiles, inventories, and other public Steam
  information. Communication with Steam's online services requires an API key
  obtained from the Steam Community website.

This library is a dependancy of Home Assistant, the Python smart home platform.
I plan to maintain it as part of the Home Assistant team.
