Bug#1110499: ITP: fvs -- File Versioning System

Hi Amin,

Quoting Seyed Mohamad Amin Modaresi (2025-08-07 11:34:04)
> Do you have any suggestions for description?

my main problem with the description is, that after reading it I have no idea
what this package does, why it is useful, why I'd want to install or not
install it, how it compares to others and so on...

Here are some tips on how to write good package descriptions:

https://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/developers-reference/best-pkging-practices.en.html#general-guidelines-for-package-descriptions

Questions I have after reading your existing description:

 * Why is "File Versioning System" written with upper case?
 * "with hash comparison" -- what does this mean in this context?
 * "and data storage" -- what does that mean?
 * "to create unlinked states" -- what are unlinked states?
 * "that can be deleted" -- i thought it was about storing data, why delete it?

Essentially I understand nothing of the description. Your description should
even be understandable by non-technical people. With your knowledge about what
the upstream project is and what it does, try to write a one or two short
paragraphs on what this thing actually is.

Thanks!

cheers, josch
