zenoss is a network monitoring system, for hosts, services and networks,
similar
to nagios.

Its features include:

* Auto detection and monitoring of network devices & servers
* Auto detection of services and ressources via snmp
* Grouping, Organization, Association, Classification of devices
* Reporting with global inventory, device details and change history
* Performance monitoring and graphing
.
Additionally zenoss is able to use nagios plugins and features a php5-driven
web portal for administration and view of status.

Licensing: zenoss is licensed under the GPL.

Note: Their is already an ITP about this package. But Wolfgang has
written me that he has no time for the package
currently and no infrastructure aswell. He asked me to file an ITP, if i
want to continue what he has begun. So here it is.
