Caligula is a user-friendly, lightweight TUI (Text User Interface) tool for disk imaging. Similar to dd, it provides an intuitive way to perform disk imaging operations while offering better visibility into the write speed and status of the imaging process.

Compared to dd, Caligula excels in user-friendliness by providing a real-time display of progress and performance metrics, making it a more accessible and informative tool for users working with disk images.

I plan to be the main maintainer of the package and would like to join the Debian Rust Team to collaborate with other developers on maintaining Rust-based packages.

As I am not currently a Debian Developer, I will need a sponsor to help with the package uploads. I am committed to learning and contributing actively to the Debian project.

Hi Dong,

I'd also be interested in having caligula in Debian. I am a member of the Debian rust team, so feel free to reach out if you have any questions. For an introduction to Rust packaging see https://rust-team.pages.debian.net/book/

best,
