Bug#1100150: O: libapache2-mod-authnz-external -- authenticate Apache against external authentication services

Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

I am not particularly clear about whether I should be reporting this as Orphaned (O) or Request for Adoption (RFA);
but this package has been orphaned for some time: https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/libapache2-mod-authnz-external

I have previously reported that the upstream has moved: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1090314
And now I have done work for a new package: https://github.com/carrvo/debian-libapache2-mod-authnz-external
which I have currently uploaded the results to: https://mentors.debian.net/package/libapache2-mod-authnz-external/

I am also confused about its long-standing orphaned state since there have been recent changes to
an existing package (that I found after the fact): https://salsa.debian.org/debian/libapache2-mod-authnz-external/

I am willing to contribute to the existing package instead, but my salsa.debian.org account needs to be approved first it seems.
