I forgot to mention how to validate the Appstream XML:

  appstreamcli validate-tree debian/mfiutil

When I run it on the current salsa git content, I get these:

  mfiutil.metainfo.xml
    E: rivoreo.mfiutil:3: cid-is-not-rdns rivoreo.mfiutil
    W: rivoreo.mfiutil:~: metainfo-filename-cid-mismatch

  ✘ Validation failed: errors: 1, warnings: 1, pedantic: 1

The appstream XML parser will thus reject the content, so it need to be
fixed.
