Hi,
So I plan to package this, I guess it will take a while because I
dind't even managed to install it manually in a quick first attempt
without breaking my desktop.

The main binary package will be named "asammdf",
the end-users doen't need to know it's coded in Python.
By default/inertia this would be packaged under DebianPythonTeam;
but I wonder if it would better to have an Automotive packaging team;
which would also include python-canmatrix (under RFA 1014519)
and other dependencies of asammdf which might not be in Python.
tram & trains would be welcome too (I see for example the ITP 1053497 for tcnopen).
I see this wiki page from 2012 but I don't know wether it materialized in packages:
