Actually I am not sure if cloudcompare really supports it, but if it does (I can take a look at it), it’d be very useful
to load LAZ (compressed LAS files), which are common, and I have users that need this feature.

The packaging team is fine. Take a look at mentors.debian.net <http://mentors.debian.net/>
It is just about the source package you have, you’d upload it to this place, but any url, or even packaging at salsa.debian.org <http://salsa.debian.org/> is fine,
so tell me if/when you have something.
