There is nothing like a basis or universal about this package for the average Debian system. This name sounds like it belongs into the same category as base-files or base-passwd. Other distros like gentoo [1] put this package in the games category to give some more context to the name. As we do not have this mechanism in Debian I think that context should be in the package name. Maybe include that this is about GPU textures?
