Bug#883932: [pkg-crosswire-devel] Fwd: sword-comm-mhc_2.0-1_amd64.changes REJECTED

I filed bug https://tracker.crosswire.org/projects/MOD/issues/MOD-421 to clarify the Sword module's copyright situation. As long as that is not clear, the module can still be added to non-free.

It seems that the MHC module was initially prepared when the CCEL site
allowed free download and republication of the plain text format content
(i.e., it was in the public domain) [0]. This seems to have changed
about 1 year ago to the current form that Thorsten referenced :-(

-Roberto

Hi Thorsten,

Thank you for reviewing the copyright of the package, and drawing attention
to the fact that this copyright is not compatible with the DFSG. We
certainly had overlooked that. Sorry for taking your time for this, if we
could have found it out before uploading this package.

Hi Teus,

according to the CCEL website [1] "these books may be used for personal,
educational, or non-profit purposes...."
Unfortunately this is not compatible with the DFSG.
