Bug#910917: RFA: apache2 -- Apache HTTP Server

Hi Mosab,

sorry for the late response. I forgot to subscribe to the wnpp report and did
not get your mail.

The apache2 package is not the ideal package for beginers, but we will see. It
may still work out well, especially if there are other volunteers that have
more experience in packaging.

I suggest that you start by looking at some bug reports and try to debug /
respond / produce patches. There are probably also some bugs that can be
closed because they concern debian versions that are no longer supported, or
the submitter did not reply to some questions. For a start, if you produce a
patch for a bug, simply send it to the bug or to me. If that works out, I will
give you commit access to the package repository [1] later on.

You should probably also read at least parts of the new maintainer guide [2].

I also hang around on the IRC channel #apache on oftc [3], but response times
may not be fast.

Cheers,
Stefan
