I think the GNOME team would prefer to have new GNOME libraries in the gnome-team group on Salsa, so that we can update all the packages for a new GNOME version as a batch. I can create an empty repository for amtk and make you a Maintainer or Owner there if that would be helpful?
amtk is now in Salsa gnome-team <https://salsa.debian.org/gnome-team/amtk> and uploaded, now waiting for FTP masters to accept it.
