Secure Reliable Transport is a library that allows live streaming on lossy connections in cases where tcp would not work. It also allows file transfer.
libsrt is a useful library for live video broadcasts. It is already integrated in ffmpeg, gstreamer and vlc.
I propose this debian package for inclusion:
