Thonny is a simple Python IDE with features for learning programming 
(statement and expression stepping, live variables, syntax assistance, 
etc). Please see homepage for illustrated list of features. It's 
developed in University of Tartu, Estonia.

It requires only Python 3.4 or later and Tkinter.

Version 2.1.0 will be released by the end of March and I also hope to 
finish the package by then.

I'm not Debian Devoloper, so I'll need a sponsor as well.
