I maintained BB before for several years (as my usage of it required more
things than debian cared about), and later managed it in Debian (incorporating
my changes and sorting bugs) for some time too.

I continue to maintain it locally after I had to step down from maintaining
it in Debian (due to a conflict between me and the D-I team I'm tryin to
not touch any packages which produces udebs, eg mdadm which I maintained
before too).

But since locally I don't need D-I, I dropped udeb support in local packaging.
So re-incorporating it requires some efforts anyway.

I can help maintaining it, but unfortunately it looks like I can't become
its maintainer again because of the above mentioned conflict. And it
wont help for stretch anyway, it is way too late to touch busybox at this
stage of the release cycle.

Thanks,

/mjt
