we have a working version of TigerVNC 1.4.3 for debian jessie using
the system xorg sources via the xorg-server-source debian package.
However, I haven't forward ported this package to debian stretch
(i.e., testing) and haven't upgraded to TigerVNC 1.5.x. I only
recently got around to installing a stretch image.
