that old version was rejected, primarily for demand to reuse xorg
sources available in the archive.  We have fixed for that a while back,
but didn't have someone to make final the final push.  I did upload some
snapshot package to neurodebian
http://neuro.debian.net/pkgs/tigervnc-standalone-server.html#binary-pkg-tigervnc-standalone-server
but didn't have time to look to finalize for upload to debian proper:
verify licenses and either it would build now with current xorg in the
archive

So if you are keen to help

is out there!
