Oh, indeed. Sorry for not checking properly before filing. @Relli054w: If perhaps you are interested in maintaining this as a teamwork - and don't mind my packaging style which involves CDBS and git-buildpackage - then I'd be happy to work together with you. If you prefer to work alone or want to team up with someone using a different packaging style, then you came first and I will step down and wish you good luck on the work. > It would be good to have the Serif and Mono fonts as well, and the > webfonts (but they can wait) > > I think the idea of that ITP was to have a single source package > containing all the fonts. Personally I prefer a separate source > package for each downloaded zip. I agree with above - for Beaker only the sans family is needed that's why I filed that (as I'd track each upstream zip as a separate source package), but I would be happy to collaborate on all the PT families, and extended hinting for web as well. > I'll also suggest naming the packages fonts-paratype-ptsans etc since > ParaType has created them. I disagree with that: Seems to me the common naming practice in Debian is fonts-<fontname> rather than fonts-<foundry>-<fontname>, and the former naming makes sense to me: Eventual packages from different vendors with same fontname would cause problems in Debian so should be avoided if at all possible. Also when families are packaged separately they commonly are separated from fontname with a dash in Debian package name. > I'd be happy to help. Great! I will be using CDBS and git-buildpackage for the package, similar to how fonts-noto is done. Is that fine with you? If not, would you perhaps be interested in teaming up with others and maintain it without me in the loop? - Jonas -- * Jonas Smedegaard - idealist & Internet-arkitekt * Tlf.: +45 40843136 Website: http://dr.jones.dk/ [x] quote me freely [ ] ask before reusing [ ] keep private
