Oh. I understood 'muxing' to mean 'combining multiple things into one'.

Yes, it outputs M4A by default, but it can also output ADIF, ADTS, LATM,
LOAS. It does not seem to be able to output raw AAC (that is, ADIF
without the header). Not sure how useful that would be.
