I realistically don't have the bandwidth but if you need sponsorship and
the python apps team is not available, I could still help with
sponsorship. I still use s3cmd every day and was wondering where this
was. So I guess my position is unchanged.

I'll let someone in the team answer, but I'll point out that before I
was a DD, I participated in the maintenance of team-maintained package
and got sponsorship sometimes from the team and sometimes from outside
the team. It shouldn't really make a difference.
