Description : Web conferencing/classroom software with
video/audio/presentation and chat options
- why is this package useful/relevant?
This is a package mostly being developed on ubuntu, though in its current state
it requires flash, the next version is moving towards html5. It provides a good
developed structure without jre and can handle large conferences pending on the
server resources
-is it a dependency for another package?
no it is a final package
- do you use it?
Yes in the .80 version we have an instance with some ubuntu repos to meet the
dependencies of more advanced packages
- if there are other packages providing similar functionality, how does it
compare?
no other known packages in the debian repos, there is openmeetings, but that
requires a server to be running jre and is not ideal from a server resource
need.
