JavaScript::Lint is a small wrapper around Douglas Crockford's
wonderful jslint tool. It provides not only a convenient command line
interface, but a small library enabling its use from inside Perl.

Right, JSLint and JSHint are both non-free software. I'm closing this
bug report, with “wontfix” because they are not suitable for Debian.

Good news: there is now ESLint, a clean implementation of a linter for
ECMAScript, licensed as free software.

I've filed Bug#743404 <URL:https://bugs.debian.org/743404> to request
a Debian package of that work instead.
