Is there any chance to this ITP could progress any time soon? We are trying to use CCL because of its multiplatform capabilities (now running even on Raspberry Pi [1]) so we are very insterested in this ITP. Thanks in advance. You don't have to wait till it gets into Debian (assuming that ever happens). As far as I know it should work, though it has only been lightly tested.Perfect, where should I begin? Greets and thanks again. Rafael.
Well, first do you just want binaries that work on your platform, or so you want to know how to build it yourself? Obviously, I would prefer the latter, because that way someone would have to look at my documentation and procedures, which could probably do with improvement. I think this is also preferable from your perspective for a package that isn't officially part of Debian.
If you did want the former, I could just dump some binary debs somewhere, but that won't help you if I disappear off the net tomorrow.
Do you have a group of people who are interested in using this? If so, can you give me a little more detail about them?
As a first step, clone the following Mercurial repositories. https://bitbucket.org/faheem/ccl-debian https://bitbucket.org/faheem/ccl-bootstrap-debian https://bitbucket.org/faheem/ccl-ffigen-debianStart by seeing if you can build and install the ccl-ffigen package. That is the easiest. If you have problems with it, let me know. And what platform/arch will you be building on?
