But a quick look at http://www.visitusers.org/index.php?title=VTK_Upgrade seems to suggest that most (if not all) the showstoppers on the VTK side are gone... Or am I completely off-track? Have you tested VisIt with libvtk* version 5.8.0-13 (currently in unstable and testing) or version 5.9.0-1 (currently in experimental)?
