Bug#683846: RFP: cedilla
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Cedilla is a plain text formatter with good support for the
Latin-Greek-Cyrillic subset of Unicode and that generates extremely
compact PostScript.

There used to be a Cedilla package, but at some point the maintainer
lost interest and dropped the package (without even bothering to send
a friendly note to upstream, but that's a different issue).

A year and a half later, there is still no suitable alternative in
Debian. gnome-u2ps pulls in half the universe (and doesn't even work if
only its dependencies are installed), while paps generates bitmaps.

Cedilla is now maintained in a Git repository, and the latest version
runs under recent Debian with no tweaks; this should make packaging
easy. I would be very grateful if some good soul could adopt Cedilla.
