Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Eric Evans <eevans@debian.org> * Package name : thrift Version : 0.0.1 Upstream Author : Apache Software Foundation <thrift-dev@incubator.apache.org> * URL : http://incubator.apache.org/thrift/ * License : Apache 2.0 Programming Lang: C++, C#, Perl, Python, Java, Ruby, etc. Description : software framework for cross-language services development Thrift is a development framework for serialization of structured data, and the construction of RPC services. It combines a software stack with a code generation engine to build services that operate seamlessly across a number of different development languages. The description is mostly copy-and-paste from the website and will need some work, (suggestions welcome). This package is an ideal candidate for team maintenance. If anyone is interested in being a co-maintainer or forming a team, please let me know. -- Eric Evans eevans@debian.orgAttachment: signature.asc

tag 524135 wontfix thanks Maintenance of this package as-is (read: one monolithic source package) is more than I'm willing to sign on for, and there has been little sustained interest from others. I'm closing out this request in favor of #648451, #648453, and #648452 (thrift-compiler, libthrift-java, and python-thrift respectively). I will make available a script to create individual source archives from the main one, and welcome collaboration with anyone interested in packaging other Thrift libraries.
