xmame and associated packages has been removed from unstable see http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=612531 the newer mame package ( http://git.debian.org/?p=pkg-games/mame.git;a=summary ) has virtual packages for xmame-x, so a dist-upgrade should automatically bring it to xmame-x users
