I have no news about the bug ...

but finally I can run Shellinabox under debian, apache2 and ssl.

Any update on this? shellinabox is a great application used by many. I know from experience that it works very well on i386, amd64, and armel (and have no reason to believe it would not work equally well on the other Debian-supported architectures).
